6 Years Together

Pete and I celebrated 6 years of marriage last weekend (technically our anniversary is this Friday, but we are going on vacation with the Johnsons). I planned a weekend away to downtown, complete with an invite that looked like our wedding invitation. We started out at the Melting Pot, one of our favorite restaurants and then saw 1776 at the Guthrie. We stayed at the Depot Hotel, got breakfast at Dunn Brothers and then went to the Mill City Museum. We grabbed a late lunch and then finished the evening and date at the Twins Game. It was a great time and Titus had his very first overnight at Grandma and Grandpa Nystrom's. He did fantastic.

The hotel. It's located in the old train depot, so it's full of facts and history about the railway.
Our lovely hotel room.In the hotel lobby.

Mill City Museum, the only remaining part of the mill that wasn't destroyed by the fire in 1991.

Sounds like you and Peter had a fun time on your date. Titus was so good, he didn't cry too much and I even got inside the play yard and played with him to keep him occupied! He loved all the attention he got. He is so sweet.

Sigh. How romantic. You had some very good ideas of things to do. Brett has been talking all summer about wanting to go to the Mill City Museum.

Congratulations! What a gift-- 6 years of marriage. What a great gift you gave him. It's inspiring. I'm glad you took pictures.
