Fall fun in Worthington
We are still here! It's been a while since my last post, so here are some of the fun things we have been doing...
Two weeks ago we headed down to Worthington for King Turkey Day. My mom, Pete, Titus, Sahara and I walked in the 5K. Fortunately we missed the rain, the runners were not so lucky.
My mom and I went to the parade with my aunt and uncle. Pete stayed back while Titus napped. Although, next year Titus is going to have to come, it's the BEST candy parade I have ever been to. The kid next to me had a whole ice cream bucket full by the half way point. I did score some candy myself as well as bubbles, a beach ball, a tote (yep, when the candy was gone, he threw the tote!), crayons, stickers and more than i can remember.
The highlight of the parade is when they race the turkey's down main street. Worthington and Cuero, TX claim to be Turkey Capitals so each year a MN team and TX team race Paycheck (Worthington's Turkey) and Ruby Begonia (Cuero's Turkey) down each towns main street.
We had great seats because both turkey's ran in front of us. There goes Paycheck, he won easily.

This last weekend we make a quick one day trip back to Worthington to pick some apples and pumpkins. Titus loved running through the orchard and checking out the pumpkins.

Grandma loved pulling around her boys.
Tyler and Titus had fun running down the lanes

All three siblings
Titus thought it was pretty fun to ride in the apple sack!
Uncle Dan helps cut a really big pumpkin out of the patch.

Whew! It was a long day of fun. Titus missed his nap, but did great, although by the end of the day his head was hanging a little lower and his walk was slowing down. I caught him wandering back to the car and he never even noticed me taking his picture.

I love these pictures and your captions. You have to write and illustrate a children's book. So much fun to see what fun it is in Worthington in the Fall.
Love,
Aunt Sandy from Worthington
